Commission - Iris' Ill Fortune
Another commission for
mushroomkiller ofn adult Iris being transformed into a Sceptile by a malfunctioning Pokédex. Tame, but barely. A bit later than I wanted to get it done, but oh well. I like how it came out.

Well this is... intriguing. Something I clearly note is the difference on feeling this one gives unlike your previous pics. This one I right away could get a sensation of pain coming from the mere expression, not to mention the grade of changes that are noted on the pic, seeming more drastic and forceful especially on the face (this is a good point btw). The detailing of the sweat and lights is pretty good, it could maybe had used a bit more work on the large tail part of the hair however, mushc of it seems a bit... um, 'abandoned' (for lack of a better word). Last detail would be the middle 'claw' on her left feet, somewhat seems as if it had ben drasticaly cut off.
Now on the other hand... the leaves on her hand and tail. Good lord you did these leaves look so real and amazing, not just on the lining details but on the coloration. This is something I have admired a LOT from your recent works, you somehow manage to get the colors to be so lively, bright and yet not so bright like to disturb the eye, its the perfect tone.
Overall a great pic, few details but nothing that cant be fixed or ruin the work. Looking foward to seeing more from you! :)

Yay, a critique! Thanks! ^w^
Now that you mention it a large portion of the hair does seem to be blank in comparison to the rest of it... I have a love/hate relationship with crazy anime hair that I really need to work on. X3 It drives me crazy trying to draw it right, though you're right that another couple of shadow layers could create a much better sense of depth. The toe was supposed to still be forming but it does look cut off now that you mention it, lol.
And thanks for the other comments too; those leaves were my favorite part I think... I absolutely love grass pokemon and couldn't resist the opportunity to put a lot of detail into it.

Not a problem, heck I am no pro myself, still consider myself a newbie but thought I could give my 2 cents :)
Oh and oddly enough, anime-ish hair actually tends to be my favorite part on any drawing I do, so much I tend to lean a lot towards the "THAT HAIR IS IMPOSSIBURU!" border heh.
Not too familiar with the most recent pokemans (and here I thought 151 were too many...) but seems indeed like an interesting creature design.
Oh and, please do tell once you have spots open for comissioning :)
