then he finally inked and colored it.
It turned out supper lovely!

So over the course of drawing this, I've decided that I am, at some point in the relatively near future, going to get myself a set of tablas and eventually, a sitar (it's always been my dream to learn those two). I got an interesting crash course in the construction of sitars when I was figuring out how to draw one, and that's an even more interesting instrument than it already seems. It's made out of a huge gourd, among other things. And they have purely electric sitars too, apparently.
I figure I can kick my hand drumming up a notch with the tablas, and if I an get and learn the sitar eventually... Holy shit... :D
So, in this case, I guess it's time to start donating plasma, because my job doesn't pay me enough. Eight weeks of selling my precious bodily fluids to cosmetics companies (and maybe a hospital or two) for a set or decent tablas? I think it'd be worth it. :D
But yeah, it was fun to work on, and a nice break from my comic (and an excuse to color something after a year and a half of not doing so). We should do it more often. :)
