Fennekin! How could I not draw it after seeing it announced for Pokémon X/Y?
This pokémon is undeniably the token furbait of generation VI, much like Lucario and Zoroark before it. It's a FENNEC for crying out loud! Buuuut I decided to take the high-road instead and complement those delightfully fluffy ears.
Chespin and Froakie look great too, but my heart it set on getting Fennekin for my Pokémon X run, no doubt about it.
It's also a nice change from drawing adult stuff.

Yeah, Fennekin definitely is a cute Pokemon.
He's definitely going to be my starter in Pokemon X.
Well, he's going to be a hybrid of a Fennekin and Zorua. He's going to be a mischievous guy.
Here's my idea of colors: http://neuropod.net/imagehost/uploa.....cd63a31838.png
He's also going to have a few features of Zorua on him.

Ehhhh, not crazy about Chadow at all.
Maybe naming him will be easier when we actually know what defines a Fennekin. I know it's 10 months away but we don't really know anything about the games or the revealed pokémon.
What if Fennekin is only part fire type? Bulbasaur was Grass/Poison after all.

Well, I guess I could give it some more time, but I really have been wanting to add a Dark type to my list of characters. With the Fennekin and Zorua hybrid I have a perfect opportunity.
Also, how about these name ideas: Pyright (The 'right' part would be spelled differently.), Pyradow, Pyrade, and Smooty,

Maybe it is not a combination of words like terms or characteristics it needs, or just a single apt aspect of the character.
Much as how your Charmeleon is called Blitz or your Mismagius is called Twilight.
But there's also Rivale the Buizel, as far as I can tell the name has no connection to the species or abilities of a water type.
Again, maybe that name will click, when we actually know more about Fennekin itself.

Well, I'm actually leaning towards Pyrhite for a few reasons: Pyrite is commonly known as Fool's Gold, and that playing into his name would help allude to his mischievous nature. Pyrite's name is derived from a greek word that means 'to fire' or 'of fire'.
Also Rivale's name is a combination of Riv from River and Ail from Hail, though, the 'Ail' part was changed to 'Ale'. Blitz's name actually came from the move Flare Blitz. Twilight's name is from him being a ghost with both dark and light colors, and since Twilight is that time between day and night it fit for him.
