Inspired by some conversations I had with some people over the past few days in regards to art and the level of completion it can have in terms of a picture... backgrounds, lighting, etc.
I have been wanting to work on something really nice, something I would be happy with...and this is it. Spent most of the day working on a picture featuring me for once, and not my characters or someone's characters.
Just an everyday fall day in Lowell, commute to the university, bring a bunch of 800 page books, get some groceries on the way out. And it rains.

I've already told you in the stream and stuff how impressed I am with this, but it never hurts to reiterate. =P
Just a fantastic job all around... All those tiny details in the environment and yourself. Everything about this is just great dude. You deserve to be very proud of this. :3

Wow, this is amazing work! Just the details in the background and the overall mood is conveyed very well, you've certainly taken well to the pixel style. And I love that "this just figures." expression you've got. Poor, soggy goose.
I often wish I'd have days like this, but you're probably sick of them XD And driving in the rain isn't very fun.

I really have been trying to improve on my scenes overall, setting, dunno what to call it. Heh well at least geese like water..kind of, well they are aquatic birds at least!
Hah well they are only bad when they are really cold in the fall, rainy days are nice as long as they are not icy cold

I am still impressed with this piece. The tone and style are very detailed, and there's something about how large both you and the jeep are that adds something to it, just like it's one more thing stacked on top of the many "whatevers" you're dealing with in this. The background adds a lot to this piece as well, despite being a bit undetailed.
One thing I felt though, while most people saw the expression as a dismal sort of depression, I kind of saw it as more adjusted or unimpressed. As though all the hassle was typical routine that you'd gotten well used to. In other words, :I
