As for story, depends on what kind you want, making stories can be fun if I got an idea what is wanted. XD Though I tend to ramble on and bounce around when offering idea advice.

I'm planning something with a bit of action, bromance (in the lack of a better word) and probably a bit of male-on-male loving... I already have the beginning ready in my head.

I'm just having trouble deciding what kind of animals I want in the story...

All suggestions are very welcome.

Hmm, well, when it comes to animals, it's more preference and what you hope to have the character to do in terms of skills. If the story is going to be about comradery and some M/M stuff than a serious story like Behind Enemy Lines then the animals don't have to matter much. It also depends on the area they are in, like in a desert area, you aren't going to find many animals that are more aquatic oriented like otters and stuff but more likely lizards and snakes and such.
