Digital bastardization of a 1.2 mpxl LG 8100 snapshot.
In the UBC Research Forest, just a 2 hour bike ride North-East of my house, there is a fire access road that goes way the hell up into the middle of Greater Nothingness, past the Expanse of the Great Treed Abyss. About 15 minutes up this road, I was startled to see an enormous face staring back at me, no, rather... it was a stump that wanted to eat me.
The 'eyes' are what's left of a logging operation from the early 1900s, and the 'mouth' looks like either it rotted away, or an animal decided that would be a fun place to sleep and burrowed its way inside. In any case, it was a rare find and totally freaky.. I kept my distance, snapped the shot, then continued riding.
