So this was pointed out to me the other day by a couple different people... I showed up randomly on a website called 'cracked'... Full article is here:

I have no idea who put this together, but it caught me as quite a surprise. And hey, apparently I'm at the pinnacle of the evolution of anthropomorphic lions Frankly, I still think Lion-O is hotter though

Cracked is basically like MAD Magazine... so the fact that you appeared in this... DEFINITELY shows your popularity in the fur community as well as outside of it.. you should be honored, actually...
Cracked is not as successful as it used to be - but it is still a very popular magazine/website which is viewed by millions worldwide.
I actually have the first issue of Cracked Magazine framed in my bedroom... its from 1959.

Seconded.
I dunno, I may be in a minority here, but even while I was watching it as a kid, I thought:
"Lion-O? He doesn't look much like a lion.."
I mean, really. Panthro looks more like a black panther than Lion-O resembles a lion.
Tigra looks like a tiger.. Cheetara looks like a cheetahcollided with an '80s music video hooker...
Lion-O looks like Ronald Fucking McDonald {IMO, YMMV}.
You, sir, are a VAST improvement. *Cough*And a lot freakin' hawter too*cough*
Congratulations on setting a new standard for representing those of us of the leonine persuasion.

Perfect...you really are famous! Or at least, images of you have been posted online enough that people can see them, spread them around, and make use of them. Considering how good both you and your costume look, it isn't surprising there'd be lots of photos of you...and with Cracked being as popular as it is... They may be poking a bit of fun at furries but it also seems they're suggesting (and rightly so) that while furry itself is a modern phenomenon, the types of images created by the community are nothing new as far as historical art goes.
I also find myself curious about the 1100 and 1939 images...
