
Next head, WIP. Stuff I used for the ears is cool, it's a fabric stuff more or less soaked in plastic. Heat it up with a heat gun, and you can mold it like fabric. These were premade wolf ears for taxidermy, trimmed and shaped for the collie. This is done, all it needs is fur and a trim job. And a tongue and glasses.
This is more of a minimal form, trying not to make it too big. The muzzle is a bit front heavy, but that's not a problem. I'm still not sure about using my own eyes, instead of making some in the head. I'd still have to figure something out for glasses--here, I'm going to take an older pair, cut up the frames, and braze them back together to fit around it, and they'll be permanently attached. I definitely like the harness approach for the realistic stuff though, makes it easier to put the guy in proportion.
