Spent some time doodling for myself and my husband tonight. I know I draw a lot of attractive Shadowrun trolls, but in the game they're not actually as good looking as I tend to draw them. Orcs and trolls are generally considered to be pretty ugly, actually. So I decided to give everyone a taste of what trogs (for those who don't know, "trog" is a derogatory slang term used in that world for orcs and trolls, it's short for troglodyte) are really like: kinda ugly.
The one on the left is Ghoul Face. He's a fairly raggedy runner whom Maryn's team met during a run in Dallas. In this run, Ghoul Face's brother died and he was caught in a nasty explosion, resulting in all those nasty shrapnel scars and the necessity to replace his right arm. Now he lives with Lonnie's cousin Dale and they run with Maryn and her crew on occasion. I'm not sure how final that cyber-arm design is, I kinda threw it together in a rush. I'm not sure how much I like this version of him. I kinda like the old picture of him from a year ago more. Ah well, Maryn will still end up banging him :D
The fella on the right is a notorious face in Maryn's Dallas neighborhood of Rowlett. Hank the Tank is a retired runner who now spends his time selling guns and munitions of all kinds out of the back of a big van. Hank is Cuban and...dresses tacky as hell. He gives no fucks. Hank is always chomping a cigar and doesn't take shit from anyone. He's got a big ass troll named Felix that he employs as a body guard, but I have no idea what he looks like XD Hank doesn't look as old as he should in this. He's supposed to be in his 50s. Ah well, it's just a sketch. Oh, and Maryn bangs him too >__> She loves her some trogs, that dragon :O

Thaaaaaank you!! :D I spent a lot of time avoiding drawing mechanical things, but I'm trying to get into the habit of doing it more. It's a lot of fun if you let it be :D And I totally had to reference Hank's outfit D: My husband and I have always had a strong image in our heads of his look, but I've never been good at drawing it. That damn hat >:I And thank you for the compliment on my faces and poses. Oh man, I try really hard to keep them fresh. Practice practice :O

Thanks for the compliment! Robot parts can be difficult for me, so I'm glad I'm finally getting some kind of hang of them :O Need more practice still :3 And HOMG YOU NOTICED THE TUSK!! :D Actually, Hank's non-visible tusk is also chipped. I didn't even notice that until I pulled out his 3 year old ref while I was drawing this :O No idea how that happened! And that tacky style is 100% Hank. That's just how he rolls, baby <3 Who wouldn't wanna buy guns from that guy? :D

Yee! I love little details like that. They're subtle but tell their own little story with the character. I love finding old characters refs...and then sobbing at how old the art was. But it does inspire me to re-draw the characters.

Lol on Croup's comments! Yeah, no ugly dudes there. I really love how you did Hank's "shag" and hairy forearms. Although he looks relaxed and *somewhat* friendly in the picture you did, I wouldn't mess with him...

Oh, I confess, I don't think they're ugly either v__v In fact, they're just my type :3 Oh man, thank you for the hairy arm compliment :D God, I love drawing that hair on the arms. Took me years to figure out that heads and faces and chests weren't the only places hair grow :O And you're right about Hank. He's a pretty approachable guy...until you get on his bad side D: Oh lordy!
