Tonight was a particularly big challenge having to brew up 3 dishes in one go for my parents, but I think they were adiquately impressed with the result.
The only bad part is because of my weightloss diet, I only had the soup.
Top:
Kransky sausage with onion, mushroom and capsicum relish. Topped with melted bocconcini.
Served with a side of garden salad sprinkled with basalmic vinegar/ dijon mustard dressing.
Middle:
Scotch fillet steak medium well done wrapped in buttered bacon and topped with melted bocconcini and cracked pepper.
Served with a side of saute'd mushrooms and shallots with a hint of chopped spring onion sprouts. And more salad.
The sauce is just plain old "finishing sauce" whatever that is.
Bottom:
Winter soup with beef shreds, onion, carrot, celery, mushrooms, button squash and peppercorn.
Served with toasted italian bread (which I forgot to toast. sorry-)
On a side note, I haven't felt this satisfied with myself for a years, It used to be my 3D art which made me feel so accomplished, but since it takes so damn long to make something new by the end of an artpiece I am generally too sick of it to appreciate my own work.
Not saying I will stop doing 3D art for cullinary stuff, but I think I will definately try to focus on speed rather than detail with my art in the future. spending months on one piece is just too labour intensive.
