we have yet to hydro the boiler, we still have to install the flue pipes or the super heaters.

Just one question..... Where is it's tender?

the tender is also being restored, the main body was built new, we will need to make an oil tank for it and install the piping for water.

About time did thay get a atomizer for it? Tho i think the atomizer should be down in front if the firebox not under the firebox door.

We do have an atomizer for it, and I was working on the forward end of the fire box where the atomizer is going to be installed. We have the oil heater mounted and working on the oil valve.

we haven't started fabricating the jacketing yet, that will be close to the last thing we do.

Coolies ! its fun (in a special way) working on these. get to learn allot on them too! Hopes you have a good steam mechanic on hand to know the ropes on these older engines. Allot is insider know how. Ive heard of quite a fiew engines having to be gone thru again because of unbalanced springing, and axle box shimming. Looks really clean! Has it been ultrasounded yet?

we are converting her to be an oil burner, the oil valve is installed now as well as the oil heater.

They have the plates in for the oil burner it no longer has grates or ash pans

I spent an hour welding the burner plate in place Friday night, I have the sunburn to prove it.

Hey now. Next time I'm up in WA I'll have to see about visiting that museum. Shoot... I've lived in the East Bay area going on two years now and I have yet to see the big railway museum in Sacramento, nor the cable car museum in San Francisco. ...Yet.

Well I hope to be at the museum when you come by.
