...Sadly, I can relate to this guy. I'm not really the greatest catch either. If I ever was in this situation, I'd prolly explain my actions the same way.

Still, he made a critical mistake. He cut the relationship short via phone without letting Fay have any input on the matter. Even though the whole concept was doomed to fail in the end, it was the wrong way to end it. (<---is speaking from experience, sadly)
