Honestly?
It looks like two pictures of characters stuck on a photo. The left one is okay, but the right one looks very out of place. Have you tried adding shadows to the ground and to the characters to match the lightsource of the photo?

Well I only had like one or two days to do this so there wasn't much I could do to it.

I'm still learning how to use it.

Wow, the characters are really well-drawn! it doesn't even matter the background doesn't suit them much. Very nice^^ Especially this foxie :)

shadows help more, but you have mostly another problem, one which i dobt any of the rest of us would even try to correct; the two are totally different styles of pixelations, one is photographic the other solid drawing, to change the background to a more appropriate one would take so long in chosing filters and layers that most of us would just not use these two together in the first place. I have tried to make a photo look like a drawing. It is next to impossible, but i gotten close, still a person walking by can tell, even if you repaint both on concrete stone block, (i do murals). The best thing is just do the background as a drawing. you cannot just render the two forefront characters to keep the background, it will still look like you only pasted a couple drawings on a neat photographic background scene.
