Bio: Markus was born blind. This obviously caused him some hardship as he was growing up, especially from his perfectionist parents, who believed their species was a gift to the world, and so were quite upset when their son was anything less than ideal. However, his natural psychic powers helped to lessen the blow by giving him a sort of echo-location ability, able to tell the general placement and shape of objects and people in his vicinity.

Even despite his disability not being too great a hindrance, he was a lonely child, partially by choice. The constant mental probing he did to navigate his surroundings made others uncomfortable, thinking he was trying to control them or read their minds. So he spent much time by himself, practicing whatever instrument he took interest in at the time. Though not overly rich, his family was still quite well off, allowing him to obtain whatever instrument and instruction he desired in his parent's hopes that he would be a musical prodigy. As he did little else in his free time, he managed to master an instrument every few months before moving on to another one.

As he neared his evolution age, he was told that sometimes evolving could help cure disabilities like his own. His parents were delighted by this news, always going on about how great it will be for him to be "fixed". He was appalled by this idea, not wanting a fundamental part of him to be so easily erased and the event to be celebrated, and so set out to find a way to keep his body from changing.

He had heard about Everstone, a mysterious substance that can keep a Pokemon from evolving. It was usually used by those who had anxiety about evolving, wanting to put it off until they can cope with the changes. Since it was usually a temporary measure, the stone was often kept as a neclace or broach, or part of a bracelet, something that kept it close to the body. However, he had doubts about keeping it on him as a trinket. What if he lost it at the time he needed it? So against his parents wishes, and behind their backs, he had the Everstone etched into his skin via the tattoo on his head, so that he would never be able to evolve.

This angered them greatly, though since they were still his parents, they still took care of him. But not a day went by without a passive aggressive remark or a "tch" of disapointment. Finally, one day he just couldn't take it any more and struck out on his own with nothing but his guitar and the clothes on his back, forsaking his family and they're ideals of perfection.

-He currently works as a busker, playing his guitar at various locations around the city, though he sometimes gets gigs at local areas of interest.
-He often gets his needed sleep when he's idle, such as standing in line or playing music. He still maintains an awareness of his surroundings, though it is difficult for him to stir himself if immediate action is needed.
-He's able to play a variety of instruments, he just only owns a guitar.
-Not many clothes fit him well on account of his armor. Most times he just wears a muscle shirt and jeans, though he has arm warmers for when the weather gets chilly.
