This is a quick sketch of me, following the directions in part 2 of
kammypup's How to Art tutorial. You can never learn too much! Hi everybodyyy! Here Jennie's got that fluff of fur that many rabbits have on their upper chest. I'm not really sure how to draw that. I'm guessing: fluffily.
This was all done in one layer in Sai. I'm trying to do this as much as if it were on a piece of paper with a pencil as I can -- after all, I do my sketching with a pencil-like tool anyway.

I'm liking it. :3
Though if I were gonna critique, I would say to lower the line on where you drew the bottom of the diaper so it looks like it's not painted on.
Also, personal preference, I'd spread her eyes out a little more... ^_^;;;;
I didn't talk about it in the journal because we really haven't gotten into talking about digital art, but when doing these on a tablet, I like sketching in a lighter gray than this. It makes the next step, inking, much easier. When I first started sketching digitally I used black to sketch with, and when it came time to ink, it was hard finding what was sketch and what was ink... ^_^;;;
All in all, thank you for following my class and posting this! I'm tickled pink someone is following it and doing the "homework". :3
Thank you Jennie!

The bottom line of the diaper: Yeah, you're right about that; that was carelessness. The eyes: Actually I deliberately drew them like that to see what it would look like. I'm always messing around. :)
Sketching darker or lighter: If I were going to ink this, which I'm not, but if I were, I'd turn this layer's opacity down, or turn on alpha lock and paint it a lighter color. Meanwhile I don't have to worry about how dark I'm sketching it. Of course, I'd also be doing multiple sketch layers so I didn't have to erase anything; I'd just hide or delete the earlier sketch layer.
