The joke is that a hacking/computer security magazine notorious for spamming real pros in the industry, "Hakin9," was recently duped into running a totally bogus article called "Nmap: The Internet Considered Harmful - DARPA Inference Checking Kludge Scanning" (D.I.C.K.S.). They were even proud to share the bogus article for free. At least, until the joke was explained to them. The thing is, the article is so much obvious BS that they were the last to get that they'd been had.

The joke won't die anytime soon because the magazine still spams people, begging them to write articles for them, no matter how many times their spam victims turn them down. Someone suggested this follow-up bogus article four days ago, and for a brief time Hakin9 considered it a serious suggestion.
