If you're his friend, maybe you're making a joke. But the way it came off as is either you're telling him he stole the photo or he looks like a bunch of other people. In my book it doesn't sound like a compliment.

Although you're coming off fairly rude and butthurt on a picture that isn't even yours. Maybe you're a white night, saying he looks like some other people isn't a insult either. Nah. I'm not rude or butthurt. I don't know either of you. I do like to defend people, regardless of if I know them or not, so perhaps I do think of myself as a white knight. I remember once I helped a preppy girl open her locker at high school and all I got was them laughing at me. I would have done the same thing if I saw such a comment on a photo of you. I'm telling you my opinion. I know personally, I don't like being told that 1,000,000 other people's photos look like mine, so I was giving you some insight on how he might have taken it. He probably didn't take it negatively, because you can't let internet people bring you down. So there are no hard feelings intended.
