Omni's sniffing my rancid footpaws in my room... (commish)
Draw #20, submission #32, finished Jan. 10, 2013.
This submission is a little overdue for
djomnifusion, but I was glad to get it done in 99 days. (I had school to do.) This is he enjoying the stench of my feet on my table- he loves stinky feet! This traditional art is authentic and involved marker and crayon together in some places. I will admit that I messed up in some places, like the shadowing of the angle where the wall and the floor meet, and the bottom of the door as shadow, but I’ll also admit that the shadowing under the legs needs work and I’ll want to intensify the green surrounding my feet to show their smelliness. From one person, I had heard that one of my arms is smaller than the other. Lastly, because my markers were fine tip and I was losing yellow, I had to do an emergency fill-in in some area of the floor with crayon. The blue wall will need a bit of work also since I was intending for it to be like the ridges of a wall in my bedroom-it is "journal blue."
After this one, if I were to do traditional using marker, I had just bought larger, broad-tip markers so to save the many colors I have in my collection (100 distinct colors.) In any case, though I do begin somewhere; the positive here is that I shaded, maybe a bit more on the table, but it was good enough I was wowed by how the door shadow was and if you were to look at the floor, it would seem that sunlight is going through a window.. If you were to look at the original copy, it is much better than what you see now as I have scanned it for the first time on a new scanner/printer.
The characters- I'm sure that I did well, and I did mix Omni’s green camouflaged pants with his black sweater so to give some variety in color. Do note that I in this drawing am not wearing my usual yellow-buttoned shirt and green or black pants-my wardrobe should change, you know.
Overall, I do rank this art to be out of 6, a 5.2-I may have rushed and made mistakes here and there, but it seems that I drew well enough to make it life-like and you know that I drew a red panda and a brown cat with white paws that loves footpaw smells.
Thanks for viewing, and I accept critiques- I am trying to graduate from grid paper like this art I submitted: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9075280/ and I hope to improve along the way.
I hope Omni likes what I drew. *I cross fingers.*
