First page of the ref sheet(s) for my fursona, Coda.
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Orientation: Gay
Distinctive markings on his forehead are inherited from his mother's family, originating from mythological pipe-fox origins.
Born in Seattle,WA; he was raised by a single mother since his father left before he was born. His mother had a strong belief in physical health and fitness, as well as an overall sense of discipline. As such, she had him enrolled in gymnastics and martial arts from the age of 6.
Coda later lost his mother in a hit and run accident when he was 15. It was at that time that he was moved to Omaha, NE to live with his aunt and uncle. After his mother's death Coda lost interest in school, choosing instead to focus more on training rather than studying; his only goal being to retain the bond he had felt with his mother. He kept up a C average in order to remain on his school's gymnastics team, and after high school was accepted into a local Omaha college on a gymnastics scholarship. Just after finishing his first fall season there, he and a couple teammates were injured in a car accident with a drunk driver; his career in competitive gymnastics came to an end.
During and after his recovery, he was introduced to acting by a friend and discovered a new love and talent for it. Thus began a new chapter in his life pursuing his degree in television and video production with a minor in theater. After his recovery he also started working as a part-time bartender for a restaurant he had work for as a waiter in high school. As bartender he resolved never to allow someone to drive drunk choosing to cut someone off early to allow them to sober up, or call and pay for a cab himself if a situation called for it.
Now Coda works as a bartender for an Omaha gay bar and is involved in local theater and indie film productions. He still loves acting, and he always does his own stunts.
