Name of the Tea: 1706
Type of tea: Black / Strong Breakfast Blend
Loose or bagged: Bagged
Brand/maker: Twinings
Where to get it: Twinnings website, other places online, and grocery stores.
Cost: Varies wildly from stockist. £2.00 in tesco for 80 bags
Description: A rich traditional blend of English Breakfast tea, with strong flavour and good texture.
Smell: An aromatic treat. Capable of rousing the worst of us from that early morning sensation. Dark tea. That is it, un-tampered, un-treated. Pure.
Taste: Soft. In one word. Many teas these days suffer from the hardness and purity of your water supply, but this little gem is able to give full satisfaction regardless of the former. If you have ever heard the phrase, "Granny makes the best cups of tea". Well this is the wrinkly old bats dirty little secret.
Suggested Sweetener: One or two demerara rough cut sugar cubes. Yes I know it sounds odd, but trust me, it makes all the difference. Add them during brewing stage. (Ie before the water. and let them sit with the bag as it contemplates.)
Overall Summary: 9. An unprecocious, less than delicate all-rounder. That will satisfy from builders to a baroness. And leave that satisfied grin across your face as you let it saturate your very soul.

this...seems...perfect. I need a good morning tea. I love myself some irish breakfast for the mornings but I think I'll be getting this next so that I can really see what this tea is made of so to speak :P
