This is Clio. I drew this as a gift for this girl I had a crush on in college in 1995. It was in color pencil and crayola marker, but all I have right now is the scan, so it looks like poop.
This is an absurd thing that came out of the TMNT fanfic story I was writing. It's some sort of gay flying demon turtle thing.

heh, it gets complicated. He's a great-grandkid of Raphael and Andraya Taguchi, but he's a demon. The reasons are totally retarded when I think about it, but my fantasy world is gay.
His mother, who was Raphael and Andraya Taguchi's grandkid, died when she was a baby. She became an angel in the afterlife, and then she got married and had Cleo and some other kids. Cleo was born part evil, but since he's part angel, he's kind of an incubus. In any case, he is a big fag. I totally heart gay boys.

This is amazing, truthfully. I can't for the life of me figure out where you used the colored pencil and where you used the marker, because the whole piece blends together flawlessly! Everything about this is AWESOME. : D The anatomy, the composition, the color scheme.. It IS too bad that you only have the scan, it would be so neat if you had the original for re-scannage, 'cause this one is a wee bit small.
BUT. Still awesome

Hey, no problem! ^^ Just being honest Sometimes I get pretty bad pain in my hands / arms so something as extreme as that technique would probably be a pain I'd have to deal with for weeks after. XD So I really admire it when folk can deal with that kind of stress to their hands.
By the way, may I ask how you got the glowing parts to the image - was that all colored pencil, somehow? I mean it REALLY glows. :3 The eyes, the halo, parts of the jewelry and shoes.. And I see little fireflies too, if I'm not mistaken. : D

Yeah, the fireflies and the halo were all just colored pencil, including the luminescence. I draw and write ALL THE TIME, so I think my wrist and hand has become strong, like a forest. MORI-MORI!
And thank you again:) I haven't shown anyone my TMNT stuff since I was in gradeschool, actually, so it feels really good to get such awesome compliments on it.

It's actually pretty easy. I just used the markers to get a nice undercolor, so I wouldn't get those white dots in my art and have more solid color. The Crayolas were the cheapest way to get a nice, solid color underneth. They're excellent quality inks, for what they are. They're just not permanent, like copics or prismacolors.
