Kemonomimi is a Japanese word that literally translates into "animal ears". The term refers to characters with animalistic features like ears or tails.

My fursonas and my art are definitely inspired by manga and anime. No doubt about it. Started sketching myself/Amaretto as a kemonomimi a few months ago. And yes, that's a soul in the left hand.

Returned to finish the sketch tonight. I plan on inking this later. Slightly pixeled because I shot the original photo with my Blackberry.
