Wow. I did not know whether I would ever get this one done. I had so many problems. This is the newest electric guitar song I came up with a couple months ago. I really wanted to record my Mesa Boogie amp but the combination of the beginning needing to be dead silent and the analog pedals creating a hiss through the speaker it was not going to happen. I had to compromise and use a digital amp. I am still using my effects pedals and there is still some hiss but not as bad as before.
Inspiration for this song came from the Dream Theater song Lifting Shadows off a Dream from their Awake album. I really hope the effort was worth it.
Guitar: Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 (single coils)
Effects
Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man (Delay)
Redwitch Empress Chorus (vibrato setting)

Dang man! That was really nice! :D
Was most of the repeated picking just a result of the echo and delay on the guitar, or are you picking at that speed the whole time? The effects sound great and really help give it a full bodied sound, almost like I'm floating, but not dull at all. Very nice job! :)
