I almost had a near disaster with this one...the piece of wood just did not seem to want to accept any color so it took a couple layers but I think I finally got it to my liking =)
The next big issue was...a black fox!
WHY DO ALL THE AWESOME CHARACTERS INVOLVE SO MUCH BLACK!!!!!
It made approaching this kinda interesting. At first I tried to do my shading, then add my textured fur but she just was just not looking right, the textureing left her too shiny (the light hitting the raised pieces of the scorched wood).
So after all that work, I took my shader and darkened most of her, and almost relief-engraved her a bit by burning very dark/deep to give that depth in the areas that needed it most.
I am not well practiced in so much black on a character with burning yet, so...hopefully she likes it!!! I am actually most proud of the backside XD I like the font I found (dafont.com -best font site EVER!!) and the shape of the tail. Lets hope she likes it too!!!
This is a wood burning. The color was added using the following watercolor pencils: Grass Green, Spring Green, Pink, and Mulberry. The Glittery Green was added using a Gelly Roll Stardust gel pen. Everything else, the "black" is the natural color of the wood after being burnt. All the shading beneath the color was done with the burner as well =)

You just made me make all kinds of squeeeeeee noises XD
You are so welcome!!
I am so happy you like it!!!! Like I mentioned up there, she was a bit of a spitfire to work with =P But I greatly enjoyed it! Always great to confront a new challenge, but I was really worried there for a while...
As to the pink, I was having a hard time deciding what color to make her corset. Ideally, I would have liked to do a black corset with green highlights but...I felt it would blend way too much with everything else and chose a color that would not fade into the rest of her. Warm colors are usually the way to go with burnings, otherwise I would have went with a blue or dark purple. Either way....I am glad you like the color choice!!!
I need to apply some clear coats of finish to her and then will be shipping her out to you =D You can ask any of my previous commissioners, seeing the burning in person is ALWAYS better than the scanned version =)
