A few days later, he asked me to come down to the recording studio, for a bit, and we recorded this. I got to sing all four parts, too. I got a whole box of cookies for my effort. Don't tell mom.

But when Birch played it for the rest of the family, Dad, Mom and Uncle Star all said "No!" Almost in unison.

Birch sighed, and left dejected.

The next day when Bobby was over to play, Birch pulled him aside and played it for him.

"They're right. Dipper should not be singing this."

Birch sighed, and put it in a growing stack of unreleased songs.
