Commission. I have been meaning to post this for the longest of times. The problem was the story I had was so detailed. To solve this problem, I'm just going to give the cliffnotes.
Basically, an artist (who's gender and name will not be revealed) resurrects a catgirl character that he or she created a long time ago named Rachael. The transformation is her being redesigned into an anthro cat. The interesting thing is that the artist gave Rachael the ears and tail of a Siamese cat as opposed to just being generic like other catgirls and that is why she is now that breed. She also gains a more developed personality. Compare the stereotypical catgirl smile she has at the beginning to the more sincere smile she has at the end. Basically, it shows how much the artist has developed and changed over the years.
I admit that I am not a fan of catgirls or Kemonomimi in general. That being said, I don't hate them and that is why I decided to go with this angle. I didn't want it to look like I was changing someone out of spite.
