My part of an art trade with
pfh, with his character Atticus, a Gardevoir working as a beach life guard.
For his Femboi Gardevoir character I decided to go with a kinda cheesy romantic picture, with his hair and a rose gently swaying in the ocean breeze, sea shore and sunglasses glistening in the summer light...hehe. :P
Hope you like it PFH.

I do it in Flash if you can believe.
I start off doing some sketches on my DS but after that, the whole thing is animated in Flash.
It won't play as an actual Flash file though, it will lag like crazy if you try because of all the layers, so instead I export it as a GIF animation using Photoshop.

A DS and flash? Dang.
Your animations have a textured, nuanced look to them that is not usually seen in Flash. I'm totally diggin' your work!
You could make some good money with commissions of these. I know that I'm already trying to restrain myself from throwing handfuls of cash at the screen!

I'm afraid I wouldn't take commissions for these, I just like to do it as a hobby really.
See the trick is that I use the line tool in flash, and apply different line styles to them like stippled, ragged, hatched, etc.
I start by drawing the simple line art, and then begin to duplicate layers of them, have then with a low opacity and apply different line styles, and that'll give them a wobbly line effect done correctly.
I use the same line tool trick for shading, in a manner like pencil shading, if the pencil tip were maybe a little, or much wider though if the shades need to be more detailed or broader.

No, not a major rush or anything, just a little backlog.
When I do a trade, I would want it to be something that both I and the artist would want to see, enjoy doing. I wouldn't ask them to do anything they are not accustomed or open to doing.
Of you I would probably ask something hyper, but not muscular though.

I don't ask for much, a simple sketch is more than enough.
Although given the amount of work I end up putting into these I'm thinking that I should probably ask a bit more, but I prefer not to.
If you did just something like a hyper character sketch I'd be happy to animate a simple icon for you, we can discuss this via notes if you'd like.

Next up will probably be an art trade with
lesang, who wants me to do their character Devin.
It was going to be a bouncy booby graphic but those aren't allowed on FA, so instead she'll be licking her wrist up to her knuckles.
Yeah, I especially like how the sparkling ocean turned out, that was a surprisingly easy graphic to make in the end.
