I'm not in anyway pleased with how this came out, The ink sucks, the weapon sucks, And this is the first formal picture in which I have drawn a canine face from the front. And My scanner raped the shading I worked so hard on. (nothing new) He doesn't even look like a wolf!!!
belongs to himself, his half of the trade will probably be cooler.

dude, idk why youre beating yourself up over this, it looks good to me. no lie. ESPECIALLY if youve never drawn a canine's face from the front before. i make fun of ppl who only draw characters from the sides, but it took me ages to learn how to draw them head on. (granted, i didnt have FA, lol.) This is pretty close to how I would draw one head on.
and he totally looks like a wolf you faggot! lol.
the only thing i have to say could seriously be better is the shading. i know you said your scanner fucked it up, but u have to learn what sort of ways the scanner fails to perform, and then compensate. i did a piece recently, and i scanned it and then altered it at least 5 times before it got close enough to what i wanted. my scanner didnt present it the way it looked in person, so i had to modify it to look good when scanned.

Yo, your words inspire me. I hadn't thought of compensating tone for the scanner. That's fuckin' genius. I just wanted my half of the trade to be epic. I feel like I under-achieved.
I'm also my harshest critic.
I want to draw your coyote. With a baseball bat and brass knuckles. OG weapons.

Impressive, really) You are not pleased, you say? But you can't be perfect, really... (My pedagogical practice helped me to realize that) You shouldn't be perfect... You'll improve, but every time you'll see a mistake. I'm not speaking only about art. You know, even 1% of success is great, For example, my "art" has 99,9999% of mistakes, but I like it (Yeah, I know) I'm mad, I'm mad).
Anyway, awesome work... keep drawing)

What the hell, man? This is badass! Thanks so much! I love it, especially the pimped-out AA-12. "Still Countin'"... heh. And I can tell the effort put into the shading, even if your scanner didn't record it perfectly. I wish I could do clothing folds like you.
Self-hate goes hand in hand with being an artist; believe me, I know. But don't let it get you down and keep you from putting out more (undeniably good) art.
I'm going to try and have my half of the trade finished by this evening or tomorrow.

Yearning will get you nowhere, if it did, I would have a tail right now and be shooting lasers from my eyes.
You simply have to practice. That sounds so stupid, but it is the only way to learn to draw.
You will have ups and downs, mostly downs, but to be an artist is to always fall short of your own expectations.
Thank you for the compliment!
