He looks so...not cute. D: Why's Toothless so fat? I know people are inside it but surely they could have done better than that. XD

Oh, there's no one inside of him! He's completely animatronic! He's one of the most complex dragons on the entire show, and he has a car behind him that's attached by a large metal piece to try and make him move as realistic as possible. While there are limits to the technology, and while Toothless lost some of his cute factor, seeing a "live dragon" is pretty breathtaking knowing all of the stuff that's running it.

Actually, there's no one inside him. Other than a driver in the base behind Toothless, the puppeteers control him over wireless.

I managed to get tickets to this show, I thought it was beautifully done! I loved all the costumes :3

Btw i can imagine that the folks who built the animatronic toothless must have automated a good amount of toothless's functions.

Also it may not be wireless as this photo does not show the entirety of the support apparatus.

I was on the VIP tour. He roams around the stage. Watch some of the videos on YouTube. He's wireless.
