another old character that came from the same sort of thing as Mathias.. his name is Quilt.. he's not really alive.. he's not really dead.. not even real.. and not even really a he.. he comes from the same stock as a Velveteen rabbit in a way.. he's made of bits and pieces of cloth and string.. his guts are jars, sand, spiders, buttons and thread spools... he's a tiny nervous thing that lives with spiders and hangs out with Mathias..
