Well, you see...this is what happens when I get free work and I can't find a lazy way to draw fur...

can't promise the others will look as nice..this took me a while, mainly because I couldn't settle on a pose and was messing around with lighting..as you can see lol.
ended up making the snout a bit too short..dont hate me D:

I always tend to overdo it, specially because I don't feel I have the slightest inkling as to what I'm doing....
I've definitely gotten so used to scales that fur just seems a billion times harder, and it helps even less that there are so many different types and style of fur ;-;

the fur, the lighting, the pose, the physique, it's all so good, the beautiful expression on his face, those amazing soul piercing eyes, they are just so darned adorable, the shadow on the wall, the wall texture. the beautiful blue collar, it's all just so overwhelmingly good, i absolutely think this is my most favoritest picture on the internet.
the best part is, i know what he looks like irl, the man behind the character, and they honestly look quite similar in the face amazingly, you captured his true essence in this without seeing his real self or as far as i know you didn't see his real face and it's quite impressive, and it's hard to capture something like that with a normal picture much less one that is of their character rather then their true self. this is absolutely perfection.
I was actually going for a harsh light studio feel where most of the character would be in shadow. Originally It was going to be much darker then this.
But you are right, if I had made the BG lighter he'd be easier to see lol
