Yay! First page of the new year! Sorry it took me so long to get this one up - my dear boyfriend had a lot of trouble with school these past couple of days (registering for a new semester at a new school can be hard!) so it took me a little longer than I would have liked, but still - it's here!

For those curious, the language seen over these next few pages is a generally-accepted "Base Language" that Xzeejees use when interacting with other Xzeejees from another culture or country. Kind of like "Westron" in LotR, except I have a better excuse for it.

The dialogue here says, to some effect:
LINE 1: "But what will we do with her now?"
LINE 2: "We can't kill her..."
LINE 3: "However, she may know where he is."

And finally, that silly little guy says, "She awakes."

Waaaaayyyy, way back in the beginning when I had first drawn up the first four pages I didn't have a plan for any sort of plot - this comic was, in fact, sort of supposed to be a simple "Introduction to Xzeejee Culture." But that's boring, so that's why I course-corrected and figured out an actual story for the thing. However, I still wanted to show of some specific highlights of Xzeejee culture - one of which being their unique "Base Language". That's why I ultimately made the decision to have these new characters speak in the language - simply so I could show it off.

But it's had another good effect of alienating Rod from her captors.
