One of the few pelts I wanted to acquire at one point was an arctic marble so I could see the unique coloration on the face and shoulder blades and when I came across this one on ebay being sold from an estate sale, I went for it.
This marble is one of the very few I have ever seen to have all four feet. The tail is split (will be searching for a new replacement tail soon). His front feet are in good condition, rear are a tad mangled. While there is lip and eyelid material, I don't consider this fox mountable. His ears are partially turned (will hydrate his head at some point to turn the ears fully) and he is one of the largest foxes in my collection.
History behind marbles themselves is it is not a color achieved through nature, but by selective breeding, often with the intent for domestication. With all domestic desired breeds, an animal with ill temperament or illness will be put down in a humane manner, quick, painless, and less stressful. Those that are put down are then sent on to those that can use them for education or for furthering their art and professional skills in taxidermy or other artisan works.
While this particular fox will not be used for taxidermy, it will be used to further my studies of nature, anatomy, and fur coloration/length that I can then put forth into my costumes, working things from life to create a form of life with faux materials. As with all of my pelts, this one will be handled gently and respectively.
I purchased this fox from a person who acquired it at an estate sale so the only thing I know is this fox's origin is state side, not international. After that, no history is known.
If you wish to leave hateful comments and demonstrations that you have not read any of m actual intentions or how this fox came to be/its future uses, it will only be ignored and you will be blocked. Why? I have no time to give to such topics that only waste time. If you are inquisitive and wish to present your thoughts in a modest and mature manner, I always enjoy an insightful conversation. If you do not wish to conduct yourself in a respectable manner, we have no reason for conversation so please take your words elsewhere as they will fall upon deaf ears.
