I gripped the metal arch and pulled myself up the last bits of the ladder, finally reaching the top of the building. As my hoof made the gravel crunch, I felt a raindrop on my muzzletip. Looking up, the clouds were just as grey as when... I barely remembered when. I straightened my shirt, letting a cold breeze agitate the folds a little as I progressed on the rooftop, a lightning bolt ripping the sky in half, followed by a thunderclash I barely heard.
Nega was waiting for me, paws on the edge, eyes on the city. I carefully approached, eyes frowned, nostrils flaring. He knew I was there. The white-striped horse turned around, looking at me and shooting me a light grin. "Hey. What took you so long?" I simply snorted as we faced each other, more raindrops starting to hit my head and chest, Nega's mane flowing a little in the wind. "What have you done this time?" I let out with a hint of disgust, my double crossing his arms over his fit chest. "What makes you think I'm responsible? The sky's the same color as before, people still kill. Maybe I don't have anything to do with it."
Another bolt zapped behind Nega's head, hitting a building with nothing more than a light grumble, vaporizing half of the first few floors, the building slowly tipping to the side before crashing down. In the city, many fires were lit, and columns of smoke seemed to be fighting the falling rain. "You can't come running to me every time things go bad." He continued. "Sometimes things just suck."
I calmed myself down, walking towards him, standing next to him and looking at the burning city. "Can you tell me why the city's being destroyed?" He turned around, his eyes scanning over the dark streets, crumbled buildings, fighting people. "No. But I know there are millions, billions of cities. And that while this one falls, ten other rise." He made a move towards me and I jumped back, lifting my fists, looking at him in the eyes. "Don't ever touch me." He didn't insist, simply chuckling and shrugging, opening his arms like he was surrendering. "Don't be so scared! Just I, hell, even us together, what could we ever do to change the world? In good or bad?"
I didn't lose my stance, tightening my fingers around my thumbs. Nega sighed, keeping his eyes on me. "Are we going to fight?" He asked softly. "We always are." I replied, the rain now batting our bodies, lighting enveloping the city. Nega frowned, his own paws curling into fists.
Yeahhh, Stripes vs Nega Stripes. I wanted this done for a while. Initially intended for Kubi Kitsune before she dropped off. :/ But check this out. It's awesome.

sorry Im a science/bioligist geek when it comes to animals >.<
and I love stating facts non-the-less I love the picture
Speaking of stripes, that brings us to the age-old question: What color is a zebra? If you research this answer, you'll quickly discover many conflicting perspectives. But Lisa Smith, Curator of Large Mammals at Zoo Atlanta, reports that the coat is "often described as black with white stripes." This makes sense since the pattern is a result of pigment activation (black) and inhibition (white). That means black is the actual color of the fur, and the white patches are simply the areas that lack pigmentation . To top it off, most zebras have dark skin beneath their fur.
