This is basically a short, semi-pointless track in which I experiment a bit with one of my drum templates.
Don't expect much, although I am quite happy with the results.
Enjoy!

Thank you so much! I always tend to use these types of chords in my tracks, and the past, oh, 20 or so tracks I've made have been much slower paced than this. Regardless, I am glad you enjoyed my little experiment...it is most likely a precursor to faster, longer tracks with the same general idea.
Thanks!
Well, what I do is have one guitar track that's mostly clean with more dry output than effects, then have another guitar track that's more effects than dry output, both of the effects being chorus and some type of parametric equalization.
Spent quite some time just diddling around with EQ, chorus, reverb, etc. until I find something I'm happy with. It's really just a whole "shot in the dark" approach to experimentation, most of the time. It's really fun, though.
I wasn't so happy with the drums' mix, you can barely even hear the snare and i think the kick might be a bit too loud. I'm hoping to keep this inspiration flowing, a lot of my older tracks circa 2007-08 had a certain type of ferocity and innovation that I'm trying to recreate, and a lot of it had to do with actually writing a drum track out for a specific song so that the drums matched the riffs...and I have to admit that I have strayed away from that approach with tons of rehashed drums and the like.
We'll see how it turns out!
