SNES, PS (Final Fantasy Chronicles) and DS.
The DS version, from what I understand is the 'correct' version of the game, with much of the dialogue revised to the original script and name changes to a good many of the enemies and some characters. The dialogue revisions clarify some of the SNES version's vague moments. A good example escapes me, but if you play the DS version, you will recognize them immediately.
Personally, all three versions shine in their own ways, but the SNES version is still my favorite. The Playstation version suffers from load lag, placing it 3rd of the three. The DS version has enough added features to keep you playing well past the original storyline, while remaining somewhat canon. One curious exception is a 'monster dungeon'. While it makes the time go by, it comes across as an after-thought that doesn't quite fit the world of Chrono Trigger.
But that's just me
