I'm also seriously amused by this pattern, dohoho!
I've made my opossum character painting once, as well http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14828855/
And I can't help but think about it being sort of a narrative too...
The lil possum takes the brush, paints and dies.
Was it due the lead poisoning in the paint? Like Caravaggio and Portinari?
Maybe it's something more light-hearted, like the painting turning out terrible?
Maybe something possum related, like the short lifespan? If that's the Mona Lisa, an opossum would die before finishing it!
If the latter is true... well, maybe the possum picking up the brush is starting where the last one left off?
Maybe it's all random and I'm just assigning it a story, who knows!
