Hey Readers,
As chapter 10 continues, we see a little more of Sari’s normal side . I’d say she’s anything but camera shy wouldn’t you? Sari’s hair is starting to grow out, now that Josie’s back from college Sarina see’s that Jo never actually cut it short like she had though. Sari’s always treated Jo like a big sister, and well it’s what little sisters do . Wonder how long she’ll let it get. Till next week.

In my opinion, I prefered the page prior cause it painted Sarina for once as being a level sensible headed person, and actually matured in some way.
And then you blew it out the airlock.
Can I get a reason behind this comic? I watch it cause everyone tells me its "So good!" but the parts I like about it all involve the talking and when the characters are actually interacting with each other and the world around them.
Is the sex the big draw to the majority of your viewers? If so I don't understand it, as its all "wacky" and not any sort of sensual to any degree, which makes this even more odd because TTT draws Cut Loose, and while its main focus is sex, its always been of the tasteful variety.
I'm told she also writes Cut Loose, if that's the case, maybe you should ask her some pointers on scene staging and atmosphere, something she excels at.

You're entirely welcome to your own opinion and if you don't like the comic I wouldn't let anyone force you to read it. 3T no longer draws the cut loose comic and she did not write the comic that would be the author of the comic who is listed on the page. You must have missed most of the previous strips if you feel flirting with Jim would be out of character for Sarina , thanks for the comment but constructively it doesn't take in to account the strip, just your tastes personally . As for your follow up comment, I don't think magically changing my characters to suit your tastes you vibe well but thanks for the suggestion .
I didn't suggest a "Magical" change to her personality, I said I liked the previous page cause it showed her with a GROWING personality
I mean, really, you think Sarina at 50+ years of age acting like this is normal? How old is she now? Between 18-20 years of age I am guessing, even there her behavior is not normal, people that act like this are often because of a 100% sheltered existence due to the charity and willingness for everyone else around them to do things for them.
Its the same complaint I have with Sarah in Las Linda's, who has the IQ of a turnip, and then everyone I talk to that likes the comment likes her "Character"
I don't think dimwitted people is entertaining, its probably because my sister -IS- these characters. She is Sarina, she is Sarah, she is Vanille.
I have pretty much nothing but contempt for my sister, she's iJustine at 45 literally. Her looks are gone, so now nobody does anything for her anymore. And before you say that "Well Sarina has her family etc to support her" let me point out that yes, at first, we supported her. Its all we did is support her. It ended up ruining her life because she learned she cannot do a single thing for herself, and at 45 she can barely function as a human being. We stopped doing everything for her, because we were tired, we've spent our whole lives doing things for her, and because she was never taught to do things for herself, she is incapable of learning anything even somewhat basic, if you want to say "Well she always has her family" and stick to your guns for that as her life plan etc, that's cool its your character, I'm just saying its entirely 100% unrealistic.
So maybe I am jaded when I see characters like Sarina, Sarah and Vanille, but that's because I know how these people end up in life, and that charity does eventually run out, and all you are left with is a person who has the IQ of a turnip, who isn't a model anymore. My sister used to model for magazines, be in a few films etc, then her looks dried up, and nobody wanted anything to do with her ever, cause that's all she had, was her looks, when that vanished, everyone stopped caring for her, and eventually because we couldn't stand the personality and helplessness to do basic things, we stopped doing things for her too.
Yes, I am very well aware you are going to argue "Its a comic so it doesn't have to be realistic", but I'm going to openly call hogwash to that right now, as quite a few prior stories have been deeply inner personal stories between the characters, things they do with each other and what not, so you are quite aware your comic has two venue's of operation, slice of life drama, and "wacky" hijinks stuff here and there, so if you want to use that as a scapegoat that's fine, I just won't give it any credit.
Again, like I said, I am coming into looking at Sarina as a character completely jaded, she's my sister at 20, and all I can see is the train wreck before her life if things don't change for the better sometime soon, like somebody putting the boot down and making her grow up. This was the "Job" before of Thistsa, who for some reason all her actions in trying to get Sarina to grow up in life was cast as the VILLAIN of all things, cause she had the "nerve" so to speak to "Bring down Sarina's carefree persona" etc.
That was the sad thing about Thistsa leaving, she was the only one there who had actually dealt with Sarina like a logical impartial person was. She was there as a worker, she wasn't a friend of the group, she came to work and had a job to do, and then seeing Sarina bounce around like that all day long "Carefree" is toxic, because she wasn't part of the family, that "Charm" wore off near instantly, and she wasn't having any of it.
And of course, since Sarina was family, Thistsa got the chewing out. Yes, this 100% makes logical sense, they'll defend Sarina before Thistsa because Sarina is family, Thistsa isn't. This was completely realistic, and you are capable of writing realistic emotional reactions, so again, I'll call out my point three paragraphs ago of "Its a comic" is not a good excuse if writing isn't very good.
With all of this said, yes, I am very well Sarina is 20ish, and she still has time to learn/change/adapt, but from my experience that ship sailed at 16, could she be redeemed? I dunno, your the writer of the character, I don't know how her life will unfold, you could very well have something happen to Sarina that makes her grow up and realize life isn't happy fun bounce time soon and she fixes the damage and takes stock of her life.
Maybe Manila dies, and she's left alone in that house, maybe one of her friends gets seriously ill, maybe she herself gets seriously ill, that somebody screwed up some legal papers way before, and her mom ends up getting audited and her house taken away, the store gets audited and the store gets taken away, the store falls on very bad times and money is incredibly short, hell somebody might even go farther then Thistsa did and tell her flat out to her face she's a dolt and the message sinks in, who knows.
So anyways, this is in a nutshell why I found Sarina a 100% unlikable character, and why in the first place I responded to this thread, the previous comic showed her acting sensibly, mature, like an adult, it felt like some actual growth to the character, and I really, really liked it that for once she was acting mature, and I hope personally to see much more of it.
Anyways, I'm sure you'll read this, I'm sure you'll either have one of three reactions, you'll consider what I say, you won't consider what I say, or you won't consider what I say and be extremely mad at me, though I hope the third one doesn't happen as I tried my hardest to give a civil breakdown of Sarina's character, but I can't stop writers/artists for being protective of their work to the degree it causes anger.
If you read all of this, at least for that thanks for hearing me out and taking a moment of your time. I plan to keep reading, cause when you do the actual slice of life drama, its quite good.
