Last of the three FA:U 2012 'me for me' sketches during my stint in Artist's Alley.
The Part You're Probably Interested In:
Shiny tights, wrapped around a butts sticking out stance, atop high-heel thighboots.
The Part You're Likely Reading to Kill Time:
Tina, posing in a provocative stance in wet-look tights and towering thighboots elevating her "assets" even more. And it appears she's doing this in a hotel room. I wonder who she's presenting to in there--it's certainly not housekeeping :)
Technical:
This pic didn't originally have a backdrop, so I added one, derived from photos I took in my room at FA:U's current hotel, the Hanover Marriott. It's not a trace of the photo, but the colors are sampled from it, and the floor texture is taken from the small patch of carpet visible in the reference photo. My first attempt at a backdrop on this was an exercise in utter fail--I originally set this outdoors , and tried to digitally paint a row of trees in full fall colors. It came out so badly that I stripped the character out of the image and started over.
Edit (07/26/2015) Fixed missing transparencies, filled in reverse side of left boot ankle strap, right boot buckle and rivets, shaded same, added missing shading on heel
A common theme of the three pics depicts the characters wearing really tall boots. For the ladies who might be inclined to say "I want those boots", well you can actually buy them--Ros Hommerson 'Tease' (also made in black). The only difference is the real ones aren't really thigh-high, but an "over-the-knee" style.
The Backstory:
FA:U 5 is a distant memory now, even for those who attended that con, so a little refresher is in order--FA:United tends to have a chronically small Artist's Alley for its size. It was at it's largest when it was held at the Newark Airport Marriott, and got seriously nerfed after that, having only 8 seats while at Mount Laurel NJ, and 10 in its current location. I did Artist's Alley on two of the three days of the 2012 con--the second day there were more artists than tables and I was one of the few who didn't get in. FA:U's Alley is one of those strange birds among the four cons I attend each year--I've never gotten a commission at any of them, so what time I've spent in them was used making "for me" artwork while waiting for something to happen.
Pencil on bristol, inked with Inkscape, then cleaned up in Micrografx Picture Publisher 10

I WANT THOSE BOOTS.
Seriously those are some of the most stylish thigh high boots I've ever seen. It's a pity the real pair are only just over the knee though they look like they're perfectly designed for folding down to just under if you want to wear them like that. I notice Tina's boots also zip up all the way, so I'm guessing those would be much harder to fold over.
