Alright well, I was depressed when i drew this and put a lot of thought and emotion into this piece. I chose blue as a color because blue is a slow, cold, quiet color. It has a way of saying how depression makes you feel. I put spikes on this creature to symbolize how sometimes depression makes you distant from others. Your spikes make it hard to get close. I make a kind of icy back ground and around the edges of the creature, it makes him pup out from the back ground but has another purpose of saying cold. I even created the light source as a symbol of depression. Notice how the light is coming from behind the creature, much like how depressions is like a dark shade over the mind and soul. The head is hung low with a sad looking face, over all droopy and slow looking. I'm planing on improving it more by adding a shadow to improve the effect of this drawing but let me know what you think!
