First thing's First. Art is a sketchmission from
ishoka
MC, though into science fiction, is reclusive enough to have missed out on a ton of things, often without knowing it. One day, a year or so ago, Scotty managed to coax him out of his lab, and led him over to where a brown haired blue bunny lived- one known as an artist- ishoka. The two had walked in on an art show while he’d been showing Doctor Who’s latest season. MC, never having seen a single episodes but heard of it, decided stay for the art and try Doctor who. Immediately, MC was enthralled- caught up in the ever continuing story of the weird man with blue phone box that was bigger on the inside who used it to travel to times past and yet to come, worlds at the edge of the galaxy and past the reaches of reality itself. He saw this man, this “Doctor”, not only outsmart his adversaries but leave them scared at best, and better off dead at worst. When the art show ended, MC zipped out of Ishoka’s door and straight to his lab, giggling all the way.
Scotty, having known MC, heaved a heavy sigh. Ishoka unaware of anything was simply happy he’d converted another Whovian. When Scotty mentioned he had an ominous feeling about how MC had left, Ishoka dismissed it as a typical new fan reaction to get home as soon as possible to catch up on the the mythos. Scotty had hoped he was right, but soon noticed that MC had closed himself into his lab- not even answering calls. Something in Scotty knew this had something to do with the episodes MC had seen, but he stayed hopeful that it wasnt. For what, he didn’t know. However, with each passing day, Scotty grew more and more concerned that his gut instinct was right. By the time the eighth day rolled by, and there was still no word from the berret, nor his A. I., Scotty went to see Ishoka about getting MC into Doctor Who. He caught him just as he was heading into his house.
“You can’t just show MC stuff like that,” Scotty said, his worrying getting the best of him. “It gives him ideas.”
“What,” Ishoka asked. You mean Doctor Who?” Scotty nodded. “Scotty,” Ishoka smiled. “I know your bat/ferret friend is a super tech wiz, and toon genre savvy, but what do you really think he’s going to do?”
That’s the question that made Scotty snap. He grabbed the blue bunny by his arms. “That’s just it,” he shouted. “I don’t-” Scotty was cut off by a familiar, yet ominous sound. Ishoka heard it, too. They froze staring at each other as the sound filled their ears.
WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIR- DOM-WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIR-DOM-WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIR-DOM!
They turned towards where the sound came from, and saw an old style blue phone box across his yard. Scotty’s eyes widened as he took in what was sitting in front of him. Oh, no, he thought. Please, not this. Ishoka, however, was holding fighting to hold in his laughter.
This is what you were so afraid of,” he asked. “Another TARDIS model?”
Scotty said nothing but walked up to the phone box and knocked on the door. Both, he and Ishoka heard the sound of a heavy lock unlocking. He stopped with a single paw on a door, and stared at Ishoka, wordlessly telling him to come over. Ishoka complied, with a defiant, unbelieving look on his face. Scotty swung the door open as Ishoka stepped in, with Scotty right behind him. Without saying a word, Scotty slapped his palm to his face while Ishoka dashed outside. The blue box was still there, and still unassuming. He fervently groped at each wall and corner until he made his way back inside, and instinctively slammed the door behind him. He turned around to see a giant room, with a single hollow glass tube in its middle. The walls were decorated multicolored lights, and a coral tile design. the glass pillar was surrounded by a platform with a simple metal railing. at its base was an unusual computer console that was filled with random button and big shiny levers, and dials. One side a typical Western style keyboard, and a tv screen suspended on a metal arm.
Ishoka’s look of unbelieving defiance was swiftly replaced with one of absolute stupor. Scotty, however was now massaging his temples. He led the blue bunny up to the platform, and instantly saw what he was looking for: a light sable brown ferret, with bat wings attached to his arms, and big round glasses working with wires hanging from under the console.
“It-it-it-it,” stuttered Ishoka. “It’s”
“Bigger on on the inside,” MC finished cheerfully. “Yeah! Isn’t it cool”
“So,” Scotty asked, though he was afraid to. “Can this do what the one on Dr Who can? Travel through time and space, and all that?”
“And shows,” MC added.
“What?” Scotty asked, after a pause.
“In THIS Tardis,” MC smiled as he slid out and sat up, showing a silver tool with a glowing green probe at its end. “We can travel between shows and comics and move between episodes, issues, and continuity.”
“‘We’?” Scotty asked. “As in you me and Ish, here?”
“Yep,” MC chirped, with a slight giggle in his voice.
Scotty stared at the giddy berret as he slid back under the console and continued his works, sparks starting to fly out. He glared over at Ishoka, who was still in awe at the very prospect of standing inside an actual TARDIS.
“This is your fault,” Scotty. “I blame you for this!”
The funny thing is, this is actually true. The only reason I'm into Doctor Who is because I happened onto Ish's stream when he happened to be playing episode. i was instantly hooked. MC © Me
