I debated what outfit I should put him in, Science or Operations for certain, didn't think he'd look good in blue and Operations kinda makes sense, hehe.

I remember seeing that ages ago... had no idea you made it.
As an aside, I've never seen why people prefer the TNG uniform, its so uncomfortable and asymmetrical...

yep, I was responsible for that. I might re-do it at some point, cuz it's an old favorite of mine and I feel I can do it more justice now.

And agreed on the uniform. My personal fave would be the one Captain Sisko often wore in the later episodes of DS9, if I had to choose.

It was Roddenberry's idea when he created Star Trek: No money, period. Drove the writers nuts, since that meant you couldn't discuss paychecks, or show someone buying an item, or involve monetary values at all. They managed to write around him a few times, though.

I loved roddenberry's idea too, it was great. its a future where everything you could ever need is already provided for you, so mankind uses its time and resources to self improvement, exploration, science, and all of the above. its pretty much a utopia.

I think so as well! I think it's the smaller head and hood maybe? I intentionally made the hood a bit smaller, as I made it really exaggeratedly large in the past, and wanted to correct that a bit X3

why would a starship need a cook or chef? they have computers that can just give them exactly what they want whenever they want.

then again, knowing the TNG crew they probably would enjoy having human(lol?) hands crafting all their food cause ya'know, picard was cool like that.

Well yeah! Everybody mentions at some point that replicated food just doesn't have that great home-cooked quality :P
Also, there were normal cooks in Enterprise and Voyager! (By necessity) So it's good to just have someone on hand who knows how to do it, hehe

What a fun-looking character! In my experience, it's so rare to come across friendly-looking snakes, and I can't think of a sweeter looking one than this fellow. His grin speaks a thousand words, but the spectacles and the bowl of batter he's tending to really help make this picture. Great design, great color choices!
