Another gateway for me -- kemonomimi. Have other anthro artists started out this way, drawing people, then slowly adding animal features before going full-on-furry?
This is Duke (white German Shepherd/Alsatian) and Othello (white Scottish Fold cat) -- both are guardian angels. While on earth, they retain their animal forms, but once they return to Heaven, they can take any form they want. This is mainly what they choose.

I'm actually rather new to anthro as well! I still have a lot to work on in such, but my character is a monkey so I guess he is also a gateway I suppose. Well let's have fun in this transition of ours and do our best to draw anthro work! :3 I enjoy your style a lot and look forward to seeing more~!
