(If you like this picture you can COMMISSION ME!)
$23 Full Color commission for Meisterli http://www.furaffinity.net/user/meisterli/ of his giant mecha robot rabbit girl, Cobalt giggling at the missiles the navy is throwing at her. Apparently they tickle.
Had to resist the incredible urge to make a million Battleship jokes and puns, mostly since she hasn't done something that would result in "You sunk my battleship!" yet. So badly want to call a picture that though since honestly it is like the funniest line in the world to me. Then again, it's so cheesy. Anyway... For you scale junkies who like your macro/micro size play, a standard USS Destroyer can carry hundreds of people.
Destroyers are something like 80% paint over since I suck at drawing boats generally (also looks better this way but redrawing the radar and such was a painstaking pain). Other than that, it unfortunately looks hodgepodge in terms of appearance. The character is much too anime looking (Megaman Legacy inspiration there), the ocean is a bit too painterly. The ships look like the spawn of a mechanical Davy Jones. Not a lot of balance here, and a bit too busy. Then again, better a lively image than not I suppose.

halo, and other war games, for me does have a different feel to it when it comes to destroying military equipment. You have large ships being destroyed by other large ships which also have combat-based affiliations.
Large monsters on the other hand, are the ones that trigger my dislike for the destruction because you have one large monster, stepping on a tank, or a some giant robot smashing a carrier to pieces.
Its more of a balance of power issue. Planes and tanks destroying other planes and tanks are fine, but one robot or monster totaling armies is not really my cup of tea

That's interesting, I was wondering why they looked so realistic! What do you paint over with? Do you repaint the entire image? Again I'm not an artist, but I fiddle round with SAI now and then and I'm curious. The ships look like someone drew them from scratch, it's a very neat effect!
Wow, that looks like it took a lot of time and effort from you! :O Thanks a lot, it's really cool! :D The smile is nice, the detail on the ship is amazing - paint over or not, and it just looks really fun in general. n.n I don't think it's too busy or she looks too anime-esque, it's a really nice picture, thanks a lot! :D
