^-^; get the next size up, 200$ is a bit steep for 4 gigs D: but it's nice <3 I must admit

I used to sell mp3 players for about 3 years. the one i currently have is the original line sansa e280. Saving up for the 16gb...gotta love having a high capacity slot.

Ipods aren't worth a pot to piss in. i recieved one free from work my first year and dumped it on my dad. he's happy with it. i got a camera instead.

*offers fist poundage* yeah, the expansion slot is amazing :D can't afford a memory stick right now tho X3 but I wish the damned thing had a bigger screen D: holy FUCK, and the fact that if I put a song on, and then go to browse photos, every, like, minute, it clicks back to the song screen T.T and teh non-GIF support is a bit pissy

ever heard of Rock Box? if yes, do you know if it's worth switching my firmware out for rockbox?

i'd wait on the micro sd till they come out with something higher than 8gbs, since it's high capacity. Personally i like the screen size on them. the only thing i don't like about the view is more or less the fact that it no longer has a user removable battery...that's like taking a step backwards in production i feel.


Granted if i get one, by the time the battery is an issue Sandisk will have made something sexier and i'll be sad and out of 200 bucks :P

200 is the price of the 16gb... that's amazing. unless you got gouged badly.

8 gigs if roughly 2k in songs unless you're like me and put them in wma format, in which case i can almost double the capacity.

I don't bother converting, unless WMP convwerts them before putting them on, and I know what sozes hold what x3 I'm a computer nerd/geek

that's my main argument about the iPod, MAC's file formats are huge, and therefore you can't fit as much :P

there hardware is obscenely expensive, and itunes software sucks. nothing wrong with windows media *well, i like it anyhow* and not having to deal with proprietary formats is nice; just plug it in and yer done.

i convert my files, saves space cause i can change the size before it shows up on the player and cram as much as i want into it. i'm not much of an audiophile and as such really can't tell the difference in quality so long as it sounds good to me i'm happy with it. makes it easier to tote around my gallery and tunes at the same time. Besidse, Sandisk's players aren't the best for sound quality anyhow so it's not like i'm missin' much.

I guess you were inquiring on the 8 gig price? only reason i brought up the storage; wasn't sure.

I'm actually experiencing some hatred towards WMP right nwo D: every time I want to copy ONE file, it hasta try and sync my entire library to my sansa D:

and yeah, I only notice when the qwuality sounds like someone recorded it in a toilet bowl X3

Oh and you said the 4GB Sansa View (?) was $200.. Well, that's crazy. The 4GB here is $129.99 at Futureshop, while at Costco (here) it's $129.99.

I don't care what MP3 player I get as long as it has a multi-band (at least 5) equalizer. None of that 'preset' crap. So far, I think I'm just gonna have to by more 512mb ZenNANO's...they are relatively cheap now, only about 65 dollars in some places.
