So, she should have a specific diet, should be useless if not dead in the cold and should be able to crush things better.
The "Its not real" answer aside, anon should of considered the fact that these creatures\beings where created by scientist who more then likly had an idea about the strengths and weakness of each species they test on. That being said all of this talk about what she should and should not be able to do can be answered by the scientist withen the story by the simple term.
"Yeah... we thought of that too... and fixed it."

I always find laziness among artists when it comes to these subjects to be their biggest shortcomings. And I can't stand it. It strongly highlights how most artists don't think past the paper (digital or real) and furthermore refuse to do so. They make up excuses to cover up their laziness (e.g. This is fantasy/sci-fi so I don't have to explain shit.)
Worse off is your peanut gallery of people who agree with the notion that you are allowed to be lazy for the sake of it being fiction. You don't improve if you surround yourself with pandering "yes" men. You fall into the trap of being satisfied with mediocre work because the peanut gallery is okay with it, and you are anything but mediocre, don't fall into that trap.
Kenno, I really like your art, your story and your characters. PLEASE don't fall into the trap of thinking you can just do anything in a story because its "not real in the first place". Think about some of the best Sci-fi and fantasy stories. Lord of the Rings, Star-Trek, X-men, Star Wars, Avatar the Last Airbender, Dr. Who.
NONE of these stories or series got to their level because the creators figured "What the hey, I can do whatever the fuck I want! ITS FANTASY LAND!" They all have a deeper reasoning behind what's possible and why in their respective universes. We can argue that your story won't get to that level, so why bother, but you can at least strive to get there and the more you strive to get there, the better everything you produce will get and the more likely you WILL get there.
If you're going to create a world with a story based through some kind of fantasy, philosophy, or science fiction do yourself and the story the favor of thinking on how its all going to work. Otherwise why bother with anything you do in the story at all? If your argument reflects anything, its how shallow you thought out the back story to literally EVERY character you've created. The whole mutation process, baseless. The design of each character's animal traits, baseless. How those traits impact their abilities, baseless. Everything becomes baseless.
If LITERAL ANON has any kind of EFFECTIVE message you should AT LEAST take away for your story its that if a character only benefits from their mutation, then you've created a kind of mary sue scenario. Your characters SHOULD inherit some detriments from their mutations. They don't have to be to the literal level that he explains but they should relate to the character's mutation. Green doesn't have to die from the cold but you could make it a thing where she gets cold easily and likes to have a cuddle buddy to keep her warm. Little things like that can really improve the strength of your story and the depth of your character's personalities, and complexities.

Well, I have mixed feelings here, in one side, it's the "oh he's right", and on the other side is "Geez, I made whole chapters just to explain my universe and not fall on a "i can do whatever i want" And here comes people to tell me i don't do shit for it?
In most cases, "top tier" stories, if we could call them that way, DON'T EVEN CARE to give explanations of what happens in them. That includes LotR, and starwars... others just give completely silly and SHITTY explanations, like ALL goddamn mainstream comics, both DC and Marvel, and that's something i truly hate about mainstream media, sometimes it's completely absurd.
So yeah, i make my best, but i won't even try to be hyperrealistic with my stuff, for the single fact that if i wanted to make something utterly-realistic, i would rather do a realistic story, or maybe a biography. At least I try to explain my stuff. think about it.
