I decided to turn my otter sketch into an actual character. This is Faeryn. She's an otter... and now that I think about it, I probably should have added some visible webbing between her fingers.

All the reference pics I searched on otters didn't really help with her color scheme. Some otters had brown feet, others had black; some had tawny fur, others had light brown fur. So I chose a few colors and hoped for the best.

I was going to add a background, but I couldn't decide if I wanted her sitting on a bench or in a window seat.
