Plushie has a character called The Wanderer who is one of those characters that won;t tell you much about themselves. But she had the idea of her giving Three a stone. Maybe Three needs it for a quest, or she plans to carve it, or maybe she's just the middleman and it will change hands again soon. It was an interesting idea and I hope I captures her character right.

In Reno we have (had?) a homeless man nicknamed "The Waver". Usually seen walking the streets he would wave to everyone. He even made a Ripley's Believe It Or Not newspaper comic segment for the estimated number of miles he walked if I remember correctly. I found out from friends that talked to him at Parklane Mall, when he was there, that he was a giver of many things. An ear and a shoulder mainly but he would also hand out hand written notes that typically contained uncannily accurate observations and information to people. The few that followed his advice usually found it to be what they needed. He would also hand out wisdom stones as people called them. Small, smooth little stones he found in the Truckee river that were good for stress relief. I don't know the name of the technique or whatever but it is the one where you would hold the stone in your hand and rub your thumb over the stone in soothing circles. Supposedly good for starting a meditative trance if you focused on it.
The point of all that blathering is for some reason this picture reminds me of seeing him hand a stone to a friend of mine when he got up to leave after talking to us for awhile.

I have a character with the same name/title, though I'm pretty sure he's a bit different. Who knows? Maybe they've crossed paths. If they did, I imagine they'd at least have nicknames for each other.
On the other hand, when you share a name with someone, there's not much confusion when one of you needs to refer to the other. Happened that way with my brother-in-law, who I imagine gets tired of having his last name used instead of his first. Since we share the same first name, I figure I might as well use it with him; it's become something of an inside joke between us.
