well this is what ive been working on well till it got too cold to work outside in the shop paint wasnt drying so yeah time to quit till things warmed up in spring
1988 toyota 4runner last of the removable top kind she came to me with a disassembled motor part way through a head gasket repair suffering from a broken head bolt in the block a whack to the drivers front corner and body rust out

what ive done: hood repair, new driver fender, both repainted (rattle can paint an primer dont look too bad till i can afford auto paint) engine pulled to have it boiled clean, oil in the coolant an vice versa made green slimy goo in her with the bad head stud it had to be heli coiled its back an been repainted ready to be rebuilt new head as the old one was cracked across the thing behind the #3 cylinder and while im in there at this point im derusting the engine an its components frame cleaning repairing the rust an other issues
so far most of my money has gone to the fender 92 an the head 190 rebuild kit i got on sale at 89, 700 for the truck

as for derusting im using electrolysis passing 12volts DC through the items in washing soda an water the current blasts dirt rust an such off converting the iron oxide to iron an magnetite gassing off oxygen and hydrogen leaving parts totally rust free an ready for paint an primer this is done using an old computer powersupply and a couple sacrificial steel lawnmower blades
