I'm gonna comment anyway and ask; what is this?

They are puzzles. Do a google search on Rebus puzzles for many examples.

If you figure it out, don't reveal the answer in the comments. Just send a private message to see if you are right. I'm 100 percent positive that I answered 9 out of the 11 correctly so far. I think I know another, and one of them has me completely baffled. It was about to give up on this one, then the answer just popped into my mind.

No. Simply because it's not a competition.
